Mary Lou is a seasoned Massage Therapist with a focus on Client Sensory Awareness. She is encouraged by new neuroscience, which now confirms that trauma is recorded in the nervous system and is often the underlying condition responsible for chronic physical and psychological pain.
She draws from a variety of disciplines including CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu Massage and Visceral Manipulation.
Body sensory awareness enhances parasympathetic function and therefore is beneficial for individuals experiencing acute stress, depression, chronic pain, grief, anxiety and all forms of post traumatic stress.
